Why join the Greensboro Chapter of the NRHS? For the trains, of course!

One June 25th our chapter visited the Greenville & Western Railway Company (GRLW), a shortline railroad in South Carolina that serves as a bridge line between the Pickens and CSX. The GRLW was kind enough to invite us to ride along in their caboose X-436 (former Southern Railway caboose of the same number, built in January of 1970). The afternoon train serviced some on-line customers and delivered interchange traffic to CSX.
